Academies and institutional arrangements
To establish a sustainable framework for professional development, the transfer of knowledge and talent development
Beyond one-off training courses
When training needs span several job roles, various levels of responsibility or large groups of staff, one-off training courses quickly reach their limits. The challenge then becomes to create a sustainable framework that enables the progression of skills to be organised, career paths to be professionalised and essential expertise to be preserved.
The IIRCF works with organisations to design academies, in-house vocational schools and professional development pathways that are directly linked to their priorities, critical functions and development needs. These programmes may combine training, certification, support, the internal transfer of knowledge and the assessment of learning outcomes.
Formats designed to build skills for the long term
- Leadership, Management and Governance Academies
- Academies for key trades and roles
- In-house vocational training schools and professional development pathways
- Institutional certification pathways
- Training of trainers and development of in-house expertise
- Knowledge capitalisation, transfer and management
Build a sustainable capacity for developing talent and expertise
The aim is to enable the organisation to move away from relying exclusively on a series of training programmes, and instead to gradually develop its own mechanisms for professional development, knowledge transfer and skills renewal. The Academy thus becomes a genuine tool for ensuring continuity, developing talent and preparing staff for future responsibilities.
